It’s true what they say – you really do get what you pay for and when you opt to buy a genuine bronze garden sculpture, that really is the case. It may seem like you are paying out more initially, but your bronze sculpture will not need to be replaced and will continue to look eye-catching for all the right reasons for many years to come. Find out more about why you should choose bronze before other materials…
You will find other alternatives to bronze sculptures which may be bronze in colour but they come with flaws you can’t ignore, demonstrating why bronze should be the preferred choice for your garden sculpture. Take a look at some of the weakness that come with other materials and make your own mind up:
Iron sculptures will rust after just a few weeks outside in dew or rain – bronze will not;
Iron with powder coated bronze coloured paint will start to blister first and then rust within the first year or two – bronze will not;
Aluminium will oxidise (wear away) within its first few months outside – bronze will not wear away, not matter how long it is outside;
Aluminium with a bronze powder coating will start to oxidise within the first year or two – bronze will never oxidise.
Resin with a bronze finish will flake, peel and fade almost immediately after being put outside – bronze will not do this.
Steel will start to rust in open air immediately (even Stainless Steel is stain “LESS”, meaning it will rust in time) – bronze will never rust.
Real bronze stands the test of time, which is why it is held in such high esteem. All the great sculptures that you see as landmarks are made of this material for this very reason.
